Welcome back to the Welsh Bull newsletter.

While most people are focused on headlines…

the market just pulled off one of the biggest moves in history.

$7.8 trillion added to the S&P 500 in 3 weeks.

That’s not noise.

That’s capital moving at scale.

At the same time:

Inflation is rising
Energy costs are climbing
Geopolitical risk is increasing

This is where most investors get confused.

Because markets can go up…

while risks are building underneath.

Let’s be clear.

You don’t get a move like that unless:

• liquidity is flowing
• institutions are positioning
• confidence exists at the top level

But here’s the catch:

This type of move often happens late in cycles.

Not early.

So the question isn’t:

“Is the market strong?”

It’s:

“How long can this hold?”

The Iran situation hasn’t gone away.

Oil supply is still unstable
Energy prices are still elevated
Inflation risk is rising

If this drags on:

That pressure doesn’t disappear.

It compounds.

And markets will eventually have to price it in.

Bitcoin pushing toward $80K and holding strength is not random.

More importantly:

40,000+ BTC accumulated by mid sized wallets in 2 weeks.

That’s not retail.

That’s positioning.

At the same time:

• ETFs just pulled in $2.1B over 9 days
• Institutional demand for BTC exposure is rising
• Treasury style Bitcoin strategies are expanding

This is what accumulation looks like.

Not hype.

Not noise.

While most people wait…

capital is already moving.

We’re seeing:

• Strong on ramp flows into crypto
• Institutional products absorbing demand
• Rotation into risk assets
• Selective accumulation

At the same time:

Retail adoption is falling.

That matters.

Because the best opportunities don’t show up when everyone is excited.

They show up when participation drops.

This isn’t a clean environment.

We’ve had:

• A $290M DeFi exploit
• TVL dropping to 12 month lows
• Litecoin chain instability
• Regulatory uncertainty still unresolved

This is not a “risk off” environment.

It’s a selective opportunity environment.

Big difference.

There are some major catalysts building:

• Potential pro crypto Fed leadership
• US Bitcoin reserve rumours
• Institutional treasury adoption growing
• Government level Bitcoin interaction increasing

Even the US military is now running a Bitcoin node.

That should tell you something.

This is where most people get it wrong.

They see:

market strength → assume safety
market risk → panic

Smart investors do neither.

They:

stay structured
manage risk
position gradually
avoid emotional decisions

Because the goal isn’t to be right today.

It’s to still be in the game tomorrow.
